Andy Miller is talking to Geoff and Adrian about biker and rock band James Toseland.
Christine Padua’s grandmother came from a family of both amateur and professional musicians. Her grandfather was a trumpet player in their native Italy. While Christine grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C. far from her Italian roots she was never far from her musical heritage. Her own musical journey started at school where she began studying percussion. She quickly moved on to classical guitar, then piano while developing her compositional skills for song writing. However, it wasn’t until after she turned 15 that her family realized her talent for singing, something she had kept a secret for years.
The Troggs are an English rock band formed in Andover, Hampshire in 1964. They had a number of hits in the United Kingdom and the United States. Their most famous songs include the U.S. chart-topper “Wild Thing”, “With a Girl Like You” and “Love Is All Around”, all of which sold over 1 million copies and were awarded gold discs. “Wild Thing” is ranked #257 on the Rolling Stone magazine’s list of The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time and was an influence on garage rock and punk rock.
