This week’s interview is with Ray Dorset, the founding member and principal songwriter of Mungo Jerry.
Born in Middlesex, Ray formed the group Good Earth which later went on to become Mungo Jerry. They enjoyed a string of big hits including ‘In The Summertime’, ‘Baby Jump’ and ‘Lady Rose’. He also enjoyed a successful solo career, which included the release of the album ‘Cold Blue Excursion’ in 1972. Ray now lives locally in Bournemouth.
