One live guest from 1st September whilst Adrian Collis does the show solo – Polly Perry and Seb Hunter of The Provincials.
Describing themselves as ‘an idiosyncratic mix of improvisation, the darker edges of English folk and sounds that might have sprung fully formed from a cineaste’s night terror’, the Provincials are Polly Perry, Steve Gibson and Seb Hunter. The band improvise within loose song structures, conjuring a sound that recalls Charalambides at their most enchanted. Piano, guitar and vocals coalesce and disperse, not in some academic exercise but in melodic/emotive passages of channelled verse, hum, strum and chime.
