Vita & The Vicious, Rick Buckler, Steve Lowis & Slim Jim Phamtom

Interviews from 8th June include Vita & The Vicious live in the studio, Rick Bucker of The Jam, Steve Lowis of Lowis Lanes live in the studio, along with Slim Jim Phantom of Stray Cats.

Vita & The Vicious are a five piece London-based pop/rock band, fronted by feisty redhead Vita Ross. Vita and the Vicious have a mission: to create music that is gutsy and aggressive, but also catchy, melodic and fun.

Rick Buckler is the English former drummer of The Jam, an English rock band that enjoyed considerable success in the United Kingdom from 1977 until disbanding in 1982. Although spearheaded by the songwriter Paul Weller, the rhythm section of Buckler on drums and Bruce Foxton on bass guitar were an integral part of The Jam’s sound and success.

Steve Lowis is a singer songwriter from North Yorkshire. Currently living in Southampton he has played at many of the city’s finest music venues and beyond.  Steve has been actively involved within Southampton’s music scene for over 12 years arranging his own nights including a popular singer/songwriter show called “The Secret Stars” at The Bent Brief. This ran for over three years and featured a huge selection of local artists. He has also been involved in festival organising including Access Fest’ 2003-2007 and Takeover Manager of Oxjam 2013 both in Southampton and raising money for charity.

Slim Jim Phantom is the drummer for Stray Cats. Alongside band mates Brian Setzer and Lee Rocker, he spearheaded the neo-rockabilly movement of the early 1980s.
