Red Ray and the Reprobates, Suzi Quatro, Chris Charlesworth and a pirate radio special

Interviews from 14th August include Red Ray and the Reprobates live in the studio, along with Suzi Quatro and the author Chris Charlesworth on the phone, and a special feature commemorating pirate radio.

Red Ray and the Reprobates are a country-rock band based in Bristol, whose mission is "to deliver a rip-roaring fresh new country sound across the UK". Tonight, they chat to Geoff and perform two of their songs live in the studio.

Suzi Quatro had several big hits in the 1970s, including two UK no.1s, and broke barriers to become arguably the first female bass-playing rock star in the charts. She has released 26 albums in total, which together have sold over 50 million copies.

Chris Charlesworth is a British-based music journalist and author, and is the managing editor of the Omnibus Press. He has also been an executive producer for The Who, and released nearly a dozen books covering enormous names in the 60s, 70s & 80s music scene. Tonight he discusses his new book, 'Caught In A Trap'.

And finally, as this week marks the 50th anniversary of the closing down of offshore pirate radio stations, Geoff Dorsett takes a trip down memory lane to the swingin' 60s.
