Bex, Bobby Brooks Wilson, Keith Altham, Marcus Vere & Peter Chegwyn

Interviews from 3rd July include Bex live in the studio with two live performances, along with telephone chats with Bobby Brooks Wilson, Keith Altham, Marcus Vere from Living In A Box, and Peter Chegwyn from the Wickham Festival.

Local girl Bex joined us in the studio along with her band, to promote her album 'Story So Far' and talk about her upcoming performance at this year's Wickham Festival.

Son of the legendary Jackie Wilson and formerly in the US army, Bobby Brooks Wilson is known by his fans as 'Mr Entertainment', and is a three times Grammy Balloted artist with his latest album 'It's About Time'. He has opened shows for Bruno Mars and is currently working on a new album.

Keith Altham is a highly respected music journalist, well known as the former features editor for the New Musical Express magazine. He interviewed the likes of The Beatles, The Stones, Jimi Hendrix, Rod Stewart, Tom Jones, Frank Zappa, The Small Faces, Cliff Richard, Dusty Springfield, Cilla Black, Scott Walker, Ray Davies, Jim Morrison and The Beach Boys. He also gave Jimi Hendrix the idea of setting fire to his guitar, and is recorded as being the last person to interview him before his death. Keith is currently working on two books: the first about his early life in the 1960s, one provisionally titled 'When I Was Fab',and a biography of a well-known superstar.

Marcus Vere is the keyboardist for 80s chart stars Living In A Box, whose big hits included 'Living In A Box', 'Blow The House Down' and 'Room In Your Heart'. They performed at the Let's Rock! Festival in Southampton on 8th July this year.

Making his second appearance here on the Soft Rock Show, Peter Chegwyn is the organiser of the Wickham Music Festival, which this year features KT Tunstall, 10CC, The Levellers, Seth Lakeman, The Selecter and John Otway.
